For the month of September, Singapore residents can rent kayaks or stand-up paddle boards at no charge, in exchange for picking up trash as they paddle. PAssion WaVe — a community sports organization that's part of the People's Association — is offering free two-hour sessions on Wednesdays through Fridays.
Participants are provided with buckets, tongs and gloves, and can head out onto the sea or a reservoir from any of PAssion WaVe's six outlets.
