snapchat — Snapchat filters celebrate Black History Month
How does one of the world’s best used social media platforms prove that it stands on the side of tolerance and celebration of diversity? Here’s how…
Celebrating Black History Month in February 2017, Snapchat unveiled a selection of geofilters and launched a campaign encouraging users to share their experiences. Via the app’s Young, Black and Proud story, people were invited to share what made them proud, with featured content curated by Snapchat. The geofilter could be added to images or videos by users living in cities including Atlanta, Chicago and New York, as well as those at historically black colleges such as Howard University.
