Vigie Aqui — Plug-in raises awareness about corruption in Brazilian politics

Vigie Aqui is a Chrome plug-in created by Brazil-based Reclame Aqui: a website dedicated to protecting consumer rights. Launched in December 2016 to raise awareness about political corruption in the country, Vigie Aqui allows users to monitor 81 federal senators and 513 deputies, many of whom are involved in judicial proceedings. Each time the user browses the internet and reads the name of a politician being condemned or judged, their name is highlighted in purple, and viewers can hover over and read that politician’s judicial history. Vigie Aqui plans to add more councilors and mayors to the service throughout 2017.
