buddibox — Delivery service empowers young people to become micro-entrepreneurs
Being piloted from February 2017, Buddibox offers a retail home delivery service across local townships in South Africa. Funded by the country’s National Youth Development Agency, the service’s deliveries are provided by young people who are trained to be micro-entrepreneurs. Each individual looks after 200 households, delivering groceries and toiletries, for example – with average orders of around ZAR 900 (USD 69).
